Officium Australian Shares Fund

The Officium Australian Shares Fund will primarily invest in other registered managed investment schemes which, in turn, primarily invest in a diversified portfolio of Australian and New Zealand securities. As such the Fund will essentially be managed as a fund of Australian (and New Zealand) securities funds, utilising the investment management expertise of the external investment managers selected by Officium. The Fund aims to provide a level of investment return that is reasonable when compared to both the long term (five years plus) investment horizon of the Fund and the relatively high level of investment risk.

The Fund was formerly called the Leithner Value Fund and was managed by one Investment Manager as a Single Manager Fund. As a Single Manager Fund it typically made direct investments in financial products, rather than investing in other investment funds. The Officium Australian Shares Fund will be managed as a Multi-Manager Fund, although there will continue to be a transition period as the Fund’s direct investments are sold down over time and replaced with investments in other managed investment schemes.
