Officium Capital was established in April 2004 under the name of Western Pacific Asset Management Ltd to create investment products with an "absolute returns" objective. Officium Capital provides investors with access to investment styles and managers not available via mainstream funds management organisations.
We have also reconsidered the traditional remuneration structure of managed fund products, and to that end, instead of receiving a flat percentage fee for our funds management services, we are paid a performance fee (plus a small fixed administration fee). In a very real sense this greatly assists in aligning our interests with those of our investors, as Officium Capital will only make money when our investors make money.
While each fund will have its own Investment Philosophy, Officium Capital focuses on producing attractive risk adjusted absolute returns for our investors, and to that end, seeks to do only two things:
- Minimise the risk of medium to long term capital loss; and then, and only then
- Provide reasonable returns relative to the level of risk taken.
